Computerized Numerical Control Machine, also known as CNC machine, is an automatic machine tool with programmed control system.
Milling cutter can achieve high precision, multiple dimension movement, under preset program. To cut and drill the material into wanted shape.
This requires the movement to be very precision with low tolerance. Generally a Servo motor(Close-looped motor) or a Hybrid stepper motor (NEMA motor) is used on CNC machine.
Specially for hybrid stepper motors, it has low step angle(1.8° or 0.9°/step), it makes the motor to take more steps to rotate one turn (200 or 400 steps/turn). The movement on each step is smaller, thus resolution is higher. It fits better for CNC machine.
