Description

This is 28mm size(NEMA 11) Hybrid stepper motor with D output shaft.
The step angle is regular 1.8°/step.
We have different height for you to choose, from 32mm to 51mm.
With bigger height, motor with have higher torque, and the price is also higher.
It depends on customer’s required torque and space, to decide which height is the most suitable.

In general, the motors we produce the most are bipolar motors(4 wires), we also have unipolar motors available, if customers want to drive this motor with 6 wires(4 phases).

About hybrid stepper motor

Hybrid stepper motors are in general square shape, and a stepper motor can be identified by its unique outer shape.
A hybrid stepper motor has 1.8°step angle（200 step/revolution） or 0.9°step angle (400 steps/revolution). Step angle is determined by tooth number on rotor’s laminations.

There are to ways to name a hybrid stepper motor:
By Metric unit (unit: mm) or by Imperial unit (unit: inch)
For example, a 42mm motor = a 1.7 inch stepper motor.
So a 42mm motor can also be called as NEMA 17 motor.

Explanation of hybrid stepper motor’s name:
For example, 42HS40 stepper motor:
42 means the size is 42mm, so it’s a NEMA17 motor.
HS means Hybrid Stepper motor.
40 means the height is 40mm motor.

It is a 28mm square motor with an optical encoder at the tail. There are motor drive cables and encoder cables at the end of the motor. The commonly used plugs are marked on the drawing, and the length, type and plug type of the cables can be used. Customized according to customer requirements

There is only one step angle for this type of motor at present, it is 1.8 degrees. The length of the motor can be selected between 30~51mm. The recommended length is 32 45 51mm. The torque of the motor varies according to the length. There is more torque, the torque range of this motor is between 400~1200g.cm

The encoder uses a high-precision optical encoder, and the output signal has three channels, namely the signal A B and the index signal.

The resolution of the output signal has three options: 500, 1000, and 2000CPR (change per reverlution). At the same time, the signal output line adds the function of interference shielding, which can ensure that the signal is not disturbed and distorted.
